Acquired the MD & PhD degree from the Beijing Medical University in 1997 and was employed by the Dept. of Orthopaedics of the Third Hospital of Beijing Medical University in the same time.
August 1997 to March 2000: As an attending orthopaedic surgeon, worked in the Third Hospital of Beijing Medical University.
April 2000 to July 2002: Worked in the Musculaskeletal Center of New York University-Hospital for Joint Diseases as postdoctoral fellowship.
August 2002 to July 2003: came back to the Peking University Third Hospital (the original “Third Hospital of Beijing Medical University”) and worked as an attending orthopaedic surgeon.
August 2003 to now: Have been working in the same hospital as an associate professor.
April 2004 to May 2004: specially trained for revision total hip replacement and bone impaction grafting technique in Nijmegen University Hospital, the Netherlands. Meanwhile, attended the Exeter total hip replacement course in England.

Specialties and research interest:
I have been specialized in surgery for various joint diseases, such as the total knee replacement and total hip replacement for patients who suffered from Osteoarthritis, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Avascular Necrosis of the femoral head and so on. Furthermore, I am also very experienced in the surgical treatment for the early stages of Avacular Necrosis of the femoral head, such as Bone Impaction Grafting technique. With regard to research, my main interest is to study the pathogenesis and surgical treatment of AVN, gene therapy for articular cartilage injury and causes for the aseptic loosening after joint replacement.
